bit-tech.net top 10 games

Post by [JiF]Mike »

www.bit-tech.net just released their Top 10 games of 2007 picks.

10: Mass Effect
9: Halo 3
8: Unreal Tournament 3
7: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl
6: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
5: World in Conflict
4: Crysis
3: Super Mario Galaxy
2: BioShock
1: The Orange Box

I'd like to say I own all the top 5 as I have in years past..but sadly I only have 2 of the top 5, and only 3 of the top 10. :( Maybe Santa will help me fix this dire problem! lol At least I have the top 2.

I think the list is in reverse order. Sad to say that I have none of the top ten. Must be getting old. :(

World in Conflict is awesome. It's a RTT (real time tactics) and not a RTS, which means it is very tactic heavy. (The Total War series is considered RTT).
Surprisingly, the story is done really well. I can't wait to finish it. I've been playing it a lot this weekend.

Just finished World in Conflict. The story line is awesome for a RTT (or RTS for that matter) and they do a great job at delivering it.

It now ranks hand in hand for favorite RTT/RTS with the Total War series.

I highly recommend the game (for the single player campaign. I hate multiplayer RTS games. I gotta say I haven't tried multiplayer RTT though)

I don't know if I agree with the orange box being number one, but oh well. Don't get me wrong...I love Half-Life, and all the mods, but I'm not sure about the best of 2007, maybe the best buy, but not the best game.

We rented Super Mario Galaxy a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed in it. It was interesting and fun at first but I totally lost interest in it after the first night of playing. My son sat down and completed the game in 2 days, said it was easy. I'm pretty happy I didn't buy it!

the single reason the orange box is at the top is Portal. i would almost pay full price for just that game. it is absolutely brilliant. i am just waiting for the cheap knockoffs to come out so i have something to laugh at.
