What badges lead to unlocks?

I got a "cold front combat badge" today and then there was an unlock waiting for me. I was in between ranks so it wasn't that. Is there a link to what badges get unlocks?

And on a side note, I got my first Gold star the other day. We were playing Minisk (sp?) and my squad was in an APC. The enemy has one uncap and I think only one way to get out. I was driving the APC, parked behind a building and could move forward and open fire on them, not to mention backing up and getting people trying to sneak out behind us. Our commander kept dropping boxes as well as scans so we were always repaired and no one could sneak around. On top of that, the building helped shield us from the arty they kept trying to drop on us. Ended up getting 5 or 6 field upgrades during this time as well!

The Northern Strike badges and ribbons each give one unlock. All the rest of the badges and ribbons give career points not unlocks.
