Where to buy BF1942

Post by [JiF]corn »

I am trading time from BFBC2 to try and play BF1942.
My gaming restrictions are still in place, but realize i have a love for the old game and friends who still play it.
Anyone know where i can get a good new version of BF1942.
I no longer have the game but need to purchase it somewhere.

http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-1942- ... _vg_text_z

$10.94

Look forward to having you back.

We had about 8 players on last night, and enough to play a round of conquest Raid on Aghelia!

Thanks Brick.
The only thing i may run into is CD key issues.
It seems there are few people that have had some issues with it.
Hope i don't have any problems.

I bought it on Amazon and could not get the multi player to work because of key issues. You can try it, it might work for you. You can download it for free from original but you won't be able to play on the jif servers.

There is a free version of Battlefield (v 1.612) available through Origin. It's almost identical to the "original disc-based version" (v 1.61) but it does not include "The Road to Rome" or "Secret Weapons of WWII". Oh and you can't play against the "original disc-based version" players. They have to download and install the free version as well.

I am going to download it and i may purchase a used set through Amazon.
I figure if it's used then the CD keys will probably work.
Heck,for 10 bucks it's worth a shot.

Corn,

Go to Walmart or Best Buy, or even BJ's I've seen it in all those places, the full package for sale, sometimes even Target. Get the new discs, then you have to download the Punkbuster updates up to version 1.61 or something, in order to play online. I still believe Fileplanet has those, but I'm sure I've got em somewhere too.

I downloaded the free version from origin and had a blast.
The first server i went to Warhawk was there.
Almost like the old days. :viva:

I just can't seem to totally figure out why I'm being kicked from our own server.

I wonder if we did something to either update or downgrade to a different version, as I did get a version error one day.

One thing I note on the version I have, I cannot play a single player mode. It just bombs the computer. Never could understand that. I'd reinstall the game, but it works good on other servers, and I don't want to lose that.

I do miss playing Stonehenge with you though.
