Guild Wars 2 - a lot of fun, not a fail

Post by [JiF]Uncle Stinky »

OK, I feel pretty embarrassed now about calling GW2 a massive fail. I disregarded my own advice to new hires: "If you ever write an e-mail in anger, wait 24 hours before you hit the send button. 99% of the time you will decide not to hit the send button."

It's a very well done game with tons of content. They have obviously listened to complaints about past MMOs and done things to take the drudgery out of the game. I've got 5 characters going, ranging from levels 4-10, and having a ball.

Well I think I'll grab this game. It's sold out online, but looks like my local Walmart has it in stock. Look for me online tonight! :)

So I've spent a few hours playing now and am very impressed. I was just overwhelmed by the amount of activity in the areas I occupied while playing when I first started. There just seemed to be so much going on! This was good, but also bad, as I didn't know what I should be doing. lol I'm much more comfortable playing now as I've become more familiar with the UI. Still, lots of confusing stuff, but I'm getting there.

On a side note, I picked up Gravity Rush for my Vita this weekend and am totally addicted. I may be a bit scarce in GW2 for a week or so while I play that. Great game if anyone has a Vita! Might be worth getting a Vita just for this game!

Gib,

That was my thought exactly! lol But that's what it told me when I went to buy it online. I think they needed to generate some more serial numbers or something. A day or two later I heard they were available on the site again. Was annoying I had to go to the store!
