It's so true!
Thank God Doc is so patient with us ;)

Honestly, I didn't even look at all that stuff before I started.
A lot of it is intuitive if you've been playing FPS, then the rest you learn
as you need it.
Most of it is fairly easy to figure out...bearing in mind that I really haven't gotten into the command and build thing too heavily 8/

I tried a few minutes on the singleplayer which was useful for learning some controls (especially the heli's) but other wise tedious because the bots seemed useless.

We had fun last night though. I especially had fun sniping after I found an infared scoped canon of a rifle and a good spot on a hill... at one point I could count 14 bodies before they finally managed to take me out
I was doing all this while Doc and Jimbo struggled to get their various troops to the spot. Needless to say, it was lightly defended by the time they got there.

No you can't spawn on somebody:)
This us better. You get to spawn travel 6 miles and die without taking a shot.

Well there is also the possibility of driving miles into the desert with nothing around that you can see. Then bringing up the map screen without stopping because there is nothing around and all of a sudden you are stopped. Close the map screen and find you have hit a pipe line in the middle of nowhere. Fine you say, I will just backup. Well then you try and the Hummer can't really move. Jimbo jumps out and says "You got a flat". So you jump out and find you actually have 2 flat front tires. So you tell Doc and he says "I will be right there". While you are waiting (right there means Doc is gonna go cap five towns and get back to you) you have to listen to Step and Jimbo whine about your driving and randomly waste ammo and smoke grens. Step takes out the remaining tires. Jimbo tries to take down birds with some giant remotely controled gun on the Hummer. Doc finally shows up but his vehicles are full and he did not bring a repair team. So you kick some bots out of the truck jump in and leave the bots there to die from lack of water or a scorpion bite. You then drive 3 miles to the fight and die before you get out of the truck. After the ordeal you wonder why you just did not commit suicide and respawn cause it is now past your bed time :)

Yep I deleted the demo & won't be paying for the full version.
It's all right for you AARP's that like nothing more than a nice drive around the countryside, visiting new places & stopping every now & then because that bladder control just isn't what it used to be. For us young 'uns everything has to be right here right now!

Grimp's gone and scared people away.

The sound effects, graphics and quality of battle have made this good enough to ignore a few long rides. :D

Contrary to former posts, the game's great now, especially since some patches and stuff.
Would be better with a few more JiF'ers thrown in too!

You will need 4 months of basic training and 4 hands for the keyboard ;) Actually if you come on and play COOP with the group you will probably have some fun :) Jimbo has learned to build and use the arty. He only kills us once in a while now and can wipe out the bad tanks. You must tell Jimbo to keep his hands and feet in the moving vehicles at all times. If you don't you will be using lots of medical supplies.
I have learned to fix vehicles, lift them by the chopper and move them around most of the time.
I have become very good at instant negative 14 scores by crashing a fully loaded chopper.
Step just snipes and he snipes everyone! His only TS talk is "Oops was that you?" :) Just saying
Doc has a whole mod setup thingy that you will want to get to come and join the fun, if you have not already.
Hint: When your alttiude meter says 500 you better pull the rip-cord and I mean like right now ;)
