A New World Record!!!

Post by [JiF]major confusion »

I counted seventeen squirrels in the yard at one time. The previous record was thirteen.
Here are some of them in the front yard. I go thru about 50lbs of sunflower seed a month.

I once made the mistake of sitting on my back porch with peanuts for about 2 hrs coaxing a pigeon to take it from my hand. Then over the following weeks he brought 2 friends and they brought 2 friends and so on and so on..... so after a few weeks my back porch was covered in bird crap! Took a long time for them to finally stop coming.

Moral of the story : Animals like to crap on your porch!! :o

Major, ya know a squirrel is just a rat with a furry tail.

Major

Have you thought of growing your sunflowers in pots under cover first instead of continuing to scatter the seed all winter like that. Seems a bit of a hit & miss method to me. I'm sure one small packet would be enough using my method!

If I don't feed them, they climb up to my porch rail and stare into the dining room window licking their chops.
Wait,I'm not sure if squirrels have chops. :hihi:
