Liberation of Caen

Post by evilhoosier »

Hey guys, I was wondering if you might slip Liberation of Caen in the rotation. I know it's one of those maps you either love or hate but might be a nice change. Maybe exchange Baytown for it. I have talked to a lot of people on JiF and even some Jif members and none of us like Baytown LOL. Just wondering. Either way I will still be playing on Jif.

Agree with Evil, Baytown is not so fun, Caen is better.

Yeah, Baytown has u runnin around in circles. (or at least wat i think) I think Caen would be fun. It'd be nice to be canadians instead of other teams on normal rotation.

Yeah, Baytown blows. We were downing it during the game the other nite. lol
That Allied Mosquito is the worst.

Caen is ok.
However I wouldn't want Baytown completely eliminated.

Yeah I agree with Mr Hoosier.

Baytown sucks and blows at the same time.

Liberation of Caen would be a great replacement - especially as it hasn't been in the map rotation that often.

I seem to recall there was a server-related problem with Caen, but maybe it is fixed.

I love the map -- one of the few where an AT gun gets a chance to take out a tank.

Caen seemed to be one of those temperamental maps, sometimes it crashed, sometimes it didn't.
If it causes problems by being in the rotation, I'm sure most admins would be happy to load it up if someone asked for it in-game.

Baytown is definatley not my favourite map either, but it wouldn't be so bad if we could mod a bunch of jeeps or motorbikes in at the flags, and some AA on the lower flags.

Re Baytown, just make the 2 main flags uncappable. That would hopefully prevent the map from becoming the bail-and-cap fest it now is.

Now that's a great idea Stinky!
It would be even better without planes. In fact all maps would be better without planes
I think it would make a really good CTF if it didn't have the planes in it.
Caen is like Agheila. It's one of those that an Admin can throw in when there are a good number of players around.
