Battlefield 3 LEAKED ALPHA - These may not be up that long!

Beware of 2nd video music as it comes in pretty loud.

The background in the subway kind of looks like Mirror's Edge which is pretty cool.

This one is from E3 , seems a bit smoother than the leaked ones but it's from a distance and no sound.

Plus 50 leaked Battlefield 3 alpha screenshots http://bf3blog.com/2011/07/battlefield- ... reenshots/

Also the BF3 Alpha requirements came out too:

EA wrote:
Q: What are the minimum hardware recommendations for the [Battlefield 3] Alpha Trial?

A: RECOMMENDED WINDOWS PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

OS: Windows 7 or Vista (SP1)
Installed: Origin
CPU: Quadcore @ 2.0 GHz or faster
RAM: 4GB or more
Hard Drive: 7.25 GB free disk space
Video: 256 MB or greater
DirectX 10 or 11 compatible card with latest drivers (AMD 11.5 or later, nVidia 275.33 or later)
Sound: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible card
Internet: broadband connection
Note that these do not necessarily represent the requirements for the final game.

Strange that the question asks minimum but the answer says recommended. Either way it looks like it's not gonna be too heavy.

TAKE THE VIDEOS OFF, QUICK! You may risk getting sued by EA's NDA!

Having read through the Alpha Agreement, if those pics & vids were leaked unofficially the leakees could find themselves banned from all EA games in future.
It says that Alpha testers cannot divulge anything to do with the test except to EA.
Why would people want to take that chance?
Wish they had taken a bit more time to think about that weapon customisation vid. Not having progressed any in the game isn't really a good way of showing the full features that could be available & wetting peoples appetites even more.

I gueess it's just a part of the marketing ("undergroundlike") to "feed the buzz" until it's relased for purchase. The times with straight commercial with a clear sender is over.

I just received in my email box a BF3 alpha invite. I didn't pre-order or anything (do have Vietnam and Spec add-on). I'm kind of at a loss though as my gear can't run it. maybe I'll load it at work...their has to be some benefit to being the sysadmin....

Wonder if I can gift it to somebody...if I can, any takers?

A couple of days ago, alpha tester musa920217 released a couple of videos online providing gamers with a sneak peak at Battlefield 3's multiplayer. As you might expect, DICE wasn't all too happy about this.

Global Battlefield Community Manager at DICE, Daniel Matros tweeted, "musa920217 is going bye bye ;)”. When Product Review's Jamie Pert contacted Matros for comment, he posted the following reply:

Being an alpha tester on a game like Battlefield 3 is one heck of a privilege, and one that comes with a lot of responsibility. Each tester had to sign a non-disclousre agreement in which he/she agrees not to leak any footage. While it is still unknown exactly what will happen to the tester, you can bet that he/she likely won't be testing another game any time soon.

The agreement did say that you would be banned from EA games servers, although quite how thay would enforce that I don't know.
I guess if you have other games linked to your EA Account you won't be able to play those with the banned account
