Hi All,

As most of you are hopefully aware by now , Mike has asked Brick,Gib and myself to manage/enhance the map rotations.
We decided to add some variety by including a handful of old coop custom maps and changing the ordering of the existing bf maps.

Please use this topic to provide feedback on changes that you would like to see regarding bf 1942 maps (not bg 42 that's in another topic)
I'm sure that there are lots of good ideas out there and they will all be considered.

Please do not use this thread to tell us about technical problems with your pc , these type of issues should be posted in the Tech Stuff topic

I have currently only tried Karden and Faid Pass, but these are some great maps! Karden has become my favorite Close-Qarter Combat map! Would you list up the other "new" maps you've added to the rotation, please?

Currently the following custom coop maps are included

faid pass
karden
remagen
operation_forager

and soon to come Toujane_Tunisia (Left out because was missing from old map pack but now in new map pack)

Are you guys going to put the map called Hop back in rotation?
That was the one that you fought on rooftops over the water.
It was a CTF

I think Operatiom Forager was pretty good.
Whatever you guys pick is cool.

The server rotation is a coop rotation corn however if hop was in the custom mondays map pack then it will be available for admins to run if necessary as all of the original cmm maps are.

Update:

Shell has requested access for us from Mike and we are planning on taking the SERVER ticket ratio from 130% to 200% in the very near future and see if we like that or if folks want even more tickets. This is for Vanilla, not BG42. For the latter we are planning on reducing tickets as they are near 1000 per side. I think to start we were talking about cutting them down to ~50% or so.

We are investigating fixing individual maps such as the ticket ratio between the sides rather than the SERVER ticket ratio that affects the % of both equally. Also looking into the ability to mod in things server side. If I undertand correctly, Zouga said we should be able to add AA guns to maps that need them. Moon gamers does this and no additional download by players is needed - which will be sweet if we can do it.

If someone has the ability to setup a poll, I'd like to know how many would like to add another special day such as Thursdays being EOD mod for example. Or maybe a 2nd one to see if we want another day of BG42 mod, or even a 3rd poll on doing a DC mod day.

Please don't respond here, when and if the polls get setup then respond with a mouse click there with your vote ;)

Thanks for the feedback rix , the new increased ticket ratio is now implemented so feeback from players is highly valued :thumbup:

Can we please, please import some new bots in these maps who:

-- will not Bogart the vehicles, ships and planes
-- will not snipe you with a zook or pistol from 3 kilometers away and
-- will respond instantly when you yell, "I need a grease monkey here!"

What am I leaving out?

there are things you can do to the bots AI that will affect how they behave, but unfortunately each thing has knock on implications. For instance you can change their aggression level so they go all out attack but this can mean that they don't move once they get to a flag. Alternatively you can set them defensive but they will just stand in one spot looking round themselves - very frustrating!

there are some mods that change bot behaviour for SP, I have a couple but they are not great.
