BFVietnam

Post by [JiF]corn »

Hey guys, i looked at the maps on the Vietnam server and found out they have BF1942 mods.
The maps are Wake,Invasion of Phillipines, and Iwo Jima.
These maps have mortar kits and flamethrowers are available in the buildings.
Also the sniper rifles are a little more accurate.
It would be nice to play a few of these maps on a night like we do the custom maps.
You can also play music while in any vehicle, just hit o and pickout music a thru f.

:D

Yeah, same here. Vista and Vietnam don't mix. Sadness

I love the music bit!
War huh good God what is it good for hmmm hmmm hmm hmmm
I sing along at my desk at work as I've been on the server a few lunch times or mornings when nobody is on the BF42 server.
I get some strange looks from my colleagues.
The mod BF42 maps are good as they add trees & long grass so it's not so open.

back when people played it, it was great!

Now you would have to hit ATG's server, 32 slot coop....usually 1-4 people in there all day. (v1.21)

And every once in a while a 1.2 server will get 10+ players in.

Yeah I remember playing this way back in the day. It was fun, but since there way only a few maps it got boring REALLY quick.

I did not like the BFV expansion. I uninstalled it about a month it came out and I haven't touched it since. I'm still waiting for EA to refund my money.

I think the EOD mod for BF1942 is better than the BFV expansion hands down. The mod is still active (they still release new versions from time to time) and the map list is now up to about something like 40 maps. Since it's a mod for vanilla BF1942 everyone should have no problem playing it, especially those (like myself) with old PC's.

They did a really good job on modeling. It's a cornucopia of military hardware. RPG's, Quad .50 cal AA, LAW's, flame throwers, smoke grenades, M10 launcher, M60, more types of jet fighters than can count, armor out the ying-yang, choppers galore, '60's era music and best of all, playboy centerfold pin-ups circa 1965. Really.

It's a huge download - it's two separate files. EOD Mod.

EDIT: PS. They throw a bone to Apocalypse Now. Hop in any medic chopper, switch to seat #2 and right click. Flight Of The Valkyries.

I'd really like to try BF Vietnam but my disc set (The Complete Collection) won't load it, something about an error or something missing.
Now before the inquires start I've had 4 of these sets and even sent one back to EA for a working set, but nothing works and so I can't play, I wish I knew what the problem was.

That's affirmative Zoug!

I just don't know what the problem is, unless it's a particular piece of hardware that my computer doesn't have.
Other than that I'm lost, which isn't to hard for me LOL!!!
