Re: Competitive TF2 Team - [JiF][NuTs]
Will there be doughnuts at practice? No. You will only get doughnuts if you exceed your required performance. Standards like a player who is a primary scout in a intelligence capture match will need at least 2 captures. If you get two you get an electronic coupon for a box of donuts. These coupons ...

Competitive TF2 Team - [JiF][NuTs]
I'm done with this 'have fun' stuff and now that I've convinced Grimp to switch the server to TF2 it's time to start playing with a little more focus. So I've put up a poll that will hopefully gauge how committed JiF NuTs are to expanding our group's presence into the competitive, l33t leagues. This...

Re: Grand Theft Auto IV
I will be picking this up on launch day, I think it will probally be wise to pre-order it through gamestop...which is what I'm going to do within the next few days. PS3 or 360 Sly? Neither unfortunately and with my iPhone + PC upgrades I'm not really in the market for 'em. But after playing 1-3 I r...

Re: TF2
BTW - vtfs do allow animated images. Pretty sure you can't convert animated GIFs into animated BMPs but maybe I'm wrong. I should shut up now.

Re: TF2
That's interesting. I did it the hard way. Had Doc get it working on Counter Strike Source and give me the file. I will have to try a bmp file. Sounds a lot easier than finding someone who has CSS :) Wonder if that happened in a patch? I think initially for TF2 you could only use VTFs. BMPs would s...

Adobe hosting free online/thin client Photoshop
http://www.popsci.com/entertainment-gaming/article/2008-03/free-photoshop https://www.photoshop.com/express Gonna give it a shot when I get home. Pretty slick though if it works. I know there's an open source that competes with adobe but this seems a lot easier than that. http://grimthing.com/archiv...

Re: TF2
Hey, Grimp...how'd you get TF2 to take the JIF logo for a spray? I've tried to do a screen snip of the BDU logo and resize it to 128x128 and 64x64 with Photoshot, saving as jpg, but it tells me it's a "corrupt file". Given it's a BDU logo, I'd almost have to agree, but it should still let...

Yeah but all that's needed is a nice supply of donuts to get you involved.[JiF][AARP]Grimp wrote:Not that scary secret forum. The JiF general member forum. It's not being discussed by upper management yet

Re: BF1942 Basics
Although I like to point out when I get high scores I am happiest when my team wins. I am not a good enough player by myself and can have many a round with a horrible score, but I know in a lot of cases even with a low score I contributed to the win. Sometimes just tying up some of the enemy by bei...

Re: BF1942 Basics
Twice yesterday I was killed by a bazookateer who jumped out of his burning tank just before I did, and delivered the coup de grace. The worst thing is when you abandon your tank just a tad bit too early, and the enemy jumps into it and kills you. Like watching that chip shot sail across the green ...

Re: Server just unplayable this AM
Seriously, I've noticed a lot of balance issues lately. I don't think autobalance works very well. Heh. That's because Autobalance isn't on. :) You can't use autobalance on a server that has coop maps. The bots take up slots (that rhymes!) so it ends up with 20 humans on one side and 4 on the other...
