Added the following features to the forum:

1. Recent topics
Under the chat on the main index page is a list of the fifteen most recent active threads. You can click on the thread topic to immediately be brought to that thread.

2. News link
A link at the top of the page will display a simplified news layout with archives. These postings are the same as what is in the "News and Announcements" forum, but with a simpler view.

3. Photo Gallery
Long ago each user had his/her own photo gallery to post photo's. This feature has returned and you can access it using the "Gallery" link in the main menu at the top. This is a rather complicated system and there may be other changes accompanying this feature later as I figure it all out. For now I believe it will allow you to create you own album and begin adding photos.

We've had a facebook group for a while, but I just opened it up to the public. If we get spammers or whatever I'll close it back up. If you not a member and would like to be mash this link.

Ever since the host moved my account to a new server I've had trouble keeping the site alive for more than a few days. After some investigation the host told me that some of the website scripts must be causing processes to hang. The hung process eventually build up over 100 processes, at which point my sites don't respond anymore. I then have to go in manually and kill all the hung processes and the sites come back. You may have noticed that jiff.net sometimes just doesn't come up, no error, it just doesn't ever seem to do anything. This was the cause. I think I have finally found the culprit and I'm happy to say it's not my fault! lol The new version of some software on the server has some bugs, and the way the host had it configured caused all of these problems. I've disabled the offending features and hope that things are finally stabilized and that I can continue to improve the site. I had stopped making any changes for fear that things might get worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next few days will see the site remain active without my intervention.

The website may be down for a few hours Sunday March 7th. Here is the notice from the host:

I have changed the maximum height of images in signatures to 250 pixels. Some signatures may have been deleted due to this change. You are welcome to have appropriate(think 'G' rated) images in your signatures, but they should not dominate a thread.
